Clements Court recognised with national award for creating safer communities

Delivered in partnership with Hounslow Council, the scheme combines much-needed affordable housing with improved public areas, enhanced security measures and landscaped communal spaces. It demonstrates the role council housing can play in revitalising spaces and strengthening communities.
This approach has now been recognised with the ATLAS Secured by Design Large Development Award, celebrating projects that create safer environments as well as much-needed homes.
From the outset, the project team worked closely with Hounslow Council, Hunters Architecture & Building Consultancy and the Metropolitan Police’s Designing Out Crime team to embed safety into the design. Enhanced CCTV, secure entrances, improved natural surveillance and carefully designed communal spaces all contribute to a place where residents can feel safer, more connected and proud of where they live.
Since completion, there have been no recorded crimes or incidents of anti-social behaviour within the development, highlighting the positive difference that thoughtful design and partnership working can make.
