Another chapter in Gascoigne’s transformation as 334 new homes are handed over
We’ve handed over 334 affordable homes at Gascoigne East, marking another major step forward in the transformation of one of London’s largest regeneration projects.
Delivered alongside Be First, the new homes will provide much-needed housing for local people in Barking and Dagenham. The development includes 85 three and four-bedroom homes, helping more families find a place to call home.
This milestone builds on our long-standing involvement at Gascoigne. Having already delivered 587 homes across Gascoigne West Phases 1 and 2, we’re proud to continue playing our part in creating a thriving new neighbourhood for local communities.
The homes form part of the wider regeneration of the Gascoigne neighbourhood, which is replacing outdated housing with high-quality, energy-efficient homes, new public spaces and improved community facilities. More than 2,700 homes are being delivered across the wider masterplan, helping to create a sustainable neighbourhood for current and future generations.
Bringing more affordable homes to Barking and Dagenham has been a longstanding priority of ours and I’m pleased to see over 380 completed in the borough recently.

Creating places for people to thrive goes beyond the homes themselves. Earlier this year, local schoolchildren worked with artist Angry Dan and Creative Barking and Dagenham to design two murals for new substations on the estate. Inspired by the themes of identity and imagination, the artworks celebrate the area’s history while bringing colour and character to the neighbourhood.
