Working in partnership with Guildford Borough Council, we have secured planning permission to redevelop the Guildford Park Road car park into a new residential neighbourhood in the heart of Guildford. The £86 million scheme will deliver 248 new homes, including 40% council owned and managed housing, across four apartment buildings and 15 townhouses in a highly sustainable town centre location.

Construction is expected to begin in summer 2026, with completion anticipated towards the end of 2028. Wates Residential will deliver the scheme from development through construction and sales, ensuring a consistent and joined up approach from start to finish.

Social value is central to the project. Our programme will deliver up to £11 million in social value for the borough, creating 40 local jobs, 39 work experience placements and 200 hours of volunteering. The plans also include a Green Schools Project and environmental improvement initiatives, ensuring the benefits of the development extend beyond the new homes and are rooted in the local community.
