Infill site redevelopment, Hounslow

Working in partnership with the London Borough of Hounslow, we have delivered 154 new council homes across four infill sites at Orchard Road, Everglades, Rose Gardens and Clements Court as part of the council’s Housebuilding Programme.

The schemes were delivered on highly constrained sites within existing estates, often surrounded by occupied homes and shared spaces. Our approach focused on careful planning, close coordination and considerate construction, allowing new homes to be brought forward while minimising disruption to neighbouring residents and buildings. Each development was designed to integrate sensitively into its surroundings, making efficient use of underused land without compromising the character of the local area.

Throughout delivery, Wates Residential worked closely with the council and local communities, embedding social value and proactive engagement across the programme. This included supporting local jobs, apprenticeships and training opportunities, alongside clear communication and on‑site management to reduce impact on residents. Together, the projects demonstrate how well-managed infill development can deliver much-needed homes while respecting established neighbourhoods.
